Winter represents the end of the spiritual annual journey. This is the time for making a final count of our achievements and progress on the path of self-knowledge. In this season of the year, we prepare to restart, on another level, a new cycle of life and thus to continue our spiritual journey. In this phase of synthesis of the Life’s cycle, we meet with the persons dear to us and whom we love, and with our friends, during the long winter evenings, to warm up and to nourish ourselves in the light of love and friendship.
In this last autumn month, the crops are already gathered. Similarly, we gather in our turn in groups of friends. In this period of the year there is a very beneficial energy that manifests through the feeling of unity with others, and of friendship. November is also a good period of the year to think of those persons who are close to us and of what they mean to us. We can now find out who our real friends are, and why they are important for us. We can also ask ourselves what kind of a friend we are for the others. Do we like to spend time with our friends when they need our support, or we are just “good time” friends?
The access to spirituality in not conditioned by a certain moment or a certain season. We can dedicate ourselves to the spiritual quest at home, at work or in an ashram; on a hot summer time or during the winter with lots of snow.
September: The fruits of our experiences are ripe, being now full of savour and aroma, of the sap of our assimilated spiritual lessons. The richness of self-knowledge is ready to be harvested, as a testimony of the Universe’s abundance in a holistic life.
