Golden rules for a spiritual everyday life

Golden rules for a spiritual everyday life

  • Train your self-discipline! Make a list (even mentally) with things you know for sure you can do today.  Say to yourself: “Today I have to do x, y, z and afterwards I have all the time in the world!”

  • In your way to your job/school, do simple breathing techniques, or visualize the subtle streams of colour, or program your subconscious mind . Do these in all your “dead-times”.

  • Choose carefully the music you listen to. Use only music that is beneficial.

  • Look at people around you, regardless whether you know them or not, in a very transfiguring way. See beyond their personality, their status; see in them a sparkle of God.

  • “IT IS NOT IMPORTANT WHAT HAPPENS TO US, IMPORTANT IS HOW WE REACT TO WHAT HAPPENS TO US!” Remind yourself of this liberating fact every time you are in situations less pleasant.

  • Take short breaks in which you remember your SELF!

  • When you eat, eat slowly; chew thoroughly, until the taste of the bit you’re chewing is gone. Eat consciously. Do not do something else meanwhile. Eat in the Ayurvedic order: sweet, salty, sour, hot, bitter and astringent.
